Very satisfied with this unit. The swivel head is very useful, especially for cutting the left side of the head using the right hand. You swivel it 45, then 90 degrees one way to cut from the back of the head, and 45 then 90 degrees the other way to cut from the front of the head. Nice height adjustments with a wide range. It is difficult to get hair to stand up enough for larger guard lengths so clippers can trim the tips off, but that is the art of hair cutting. I suspect that is why at salons they do it by hand with comb and scissors. I use a brush to help it stand up on top just prior to the clippers coming in. I use #6 on top, #3 on the sides and back, and #2 on the lower sides and back, in that order. I do it once a week just prior to a shower, and have a small canister vacuum cleaner to clean up the small amount of hair in the bathroom. Bathroom has great light and mirrors. Just prior to showering, I plug unit in to recharge then put the vacuum away. It is recharged...

Great ClipperAfter reading marginal reviews on other rechargeable clippers, I bought this based upon previous experiences with other Panasonic rechargeable products. I am very pleased. The clipper is easy to use, and I get about 4 cuts from a single charge.Simple design, but only a few attachments. This is ok since I am only interested in a simple crewcut.

I've had this for 3 months now and have used it a half-dozen times or so. This clipper replaced a Wahl rechargeable that stopped holding a charge after less than a year of normal use.Pros:- Nice size and shape. It's grippable and maneuverable. I'll never get a corded trimmer again.- The clipper/blade itself is very nice and doesn't get caught and "yank" like other clippers have. My son and I appreciate that.- Rechargeability (izzat a word?): A full charge will last through at least 2 complete haircuts. It also holds a charge very well and can sit for a month or more and still work.Cons:- The clip-on guards are a bit fiddly. The shorter length guards are double-ended (which could be a plus for some people; less stuff to deal with). Surprisingly good
I bought this product after buying two different clippers - the Norelco bodygroom and a Wahl clipper kit. After my bad experience with both products (the Wahl was super noisy and would become uncomfortably hot in no time - the norelco was pure crap - it wouldn't be able to cut through butter ) - I didn't expect much from this.I'm glad it completely belied my expectation - it's a really nice clipper. It runs very silently and the blade is first-class - there's no pulling or pinching. It has good heft in the hands and is very easy to maneuver. Also, it has multiple clip-ons for a variety of cut-lengths. It's perfect if you want to give yourself a quick buzz-cut.Definitely worth the price.

I shaved my head on accidentI have tried other Chinese($9.99) clippers which actually didn't work. Returned them and I then got the Wahl Chrome model and made a quick pass, expecting some resistance. There was none. Oops. It cut so smooth, I accidentally shaved part of my scalp.(Frackin A) Had to finish the whole process to the same length. Point being. It was like a hot knife through butter, and poof! No hair. Works great. Would recommend. But don't be retarded with it like me.

After I received my 'Wahl 79524-2501 Chrome Pro 24-Piece Haircut Kit' from Amazon.com , I proceded to try it on myself and found I could trim my eyebrows , sideburns and the hair on each side of my head using the attachments provided with the kit. Using different attachments , I had my daughter trim the back and top for a complete haircut . It was amazing how easy it was to accomplish. It's a great haircut kit and I would recommend it to everyone to try.P.S. And the price will also fit any budgit. .... B.H.

A GREAT PRODUCT!I bought this product at least 5 years ago. I am a father of 3 boys and I wanted to try a "better" clipper to cut their hair with. I previously used a store bought Wahl that was adequate but I noticed the "pro" razor my barber was using had a different kind of humming sound. I found this razor and read it had a "V5000" motor that was more powerful that the consumer model. I have been using this product to cut my own hair (whatever is left of it!) and my kids have been cutting each others hair for years. This product is great and is very durable. It has a strong motor that makes the job a lot easier.Be careful of using the bare blade to trim your neck. Make sure you move the black bar adjustment towards the middle, or you can cut yourself, as I have a few times. It is actually quite easy to cut your own hair once you get the hang of it!

So far the 5 Star Magic Clip Cippers are the best I've used. It has a nice Taper level quality. It's very easy to work with. Especially when comes to fading. This clipper does live up to it's name. Just becareful with the blade because it's super sharp. I cut myself a couple of times. All in all I recomend this product to anyone.

How often should I trim my hair with hair clippers (men)?

I cut my hair to a short number #3 all over, I have just started using hair clippers and wonder how often I should cut it, I think once a week would be best but would this wear out the clippers.
I shave my hair on a number 3 all over too. I find you can generally leave it for 2 to 3 weeks before it starts to look anywhere near scruffy.

I want to shave my dog for the summer. I know his coat keeps him cool, but I looked it up and it says to shave it one inch. I was going to take him to the groomers, but then I was wondering if I could shave him with men's hair clippers with the one inch
Please do not shave your dog. The long coat protects against sunburn, heat and parasites, including fleas.
I have never shaved my Chows. They are double-coated. They are furry and look like huge Pomeranians.

Our laptop has been aliling, getting slower and slower, showing up weird updates that cannot be made, crashing unexpectedly and the like. The situation has worsened despite several virus checks, defrags and restarts and yesterday it finally reverted to some strange temporary desktop devoid of all our programs and settings.
