JUNK!!!
I purchased this remote and installed it less than 2 years ago. It is on a fan in a room that I use VERY seldom (maybe 25 times in 2 years). Tried to turn it on yesterday and nothing. Changed the battery (long shot) and still nothing. I'm going back to the pull chains.

Great Customer Service from Litex
I've owned a number of these on two ceiling fans. I've had two remotes destroyed, one by the dog and another ended up in the washer. First one I just ordered another complete unit from Amazon. The second one I called Litex 800# direct to see if there was a cheaper way to just replace the hand held remote and they sent me the replacement no-charge. These units have worked great. Only problem is when the dog and washer killed the handle held remotes (user error).

Good fan.
Easy to install, remote works well and has a decent dimmer function (that could be improved to be fantastic). Fan is small at 52", but at high speed, it generates enough air to make a warm room comfortable.I gave it four stars due to a few changes that could be made on the dimmer (through remote control), and since I've only had for it for a few days, I can't speak to its long term dependability. The light on this is halogen, which is not a great feature to me, so I'm limited to one halogen light, instead of multiple bulbs. The halogen is bright enough to light a room, but don't expect the same results provided by two 100w incandescent bulbs.8 month later:Review still stands, no quality issues whatsoever.

I am going to buy another one
We bought this fan in March 2009 from Walmart(online)and paid just 115$.It is the one of the best things in our house and it works perfectly(especially in summer without stopping).Now we are looking for another same one to put in other bedroom.....and got surprised to see that now we have to spend more money to get same old model,but WE NEED IT BAD :DDD

GREAT...BUT...
My original review: Originally...great. Great look, light very bright and love the remote dimming feature. Great fan levels and in our small room cools great. Why the one star?...After a few months the light stopped working. I called Litex and they told me I had to check the remote sensor which is in the housing of the fan 8 feet in the air. I'm physically impaired so this means paying an electrcian $100(NY)to look at... so I live without. With the light I'd give it 5 stars.My new review: Pros - as stated above. Cons - (1)if you lose the remote it won't work unless you have it connected to a wall switch, and even then all you can do is turn it off and on, no way to adjust speed or dimming. (I haven't lost the remote ...yet. (2) When I called they didn't tell me to check the light bulb which it turned out to be and a friend fixed it. All it cost was I think 10 bucks for the bulb and a hamburger for my friend.

Wall Remote Switch
This item works Flawlessly. Simple to set. Love being able to adjust the fan speed from the wall as I walk into the room. It also has a primary ON/OFF switch, so that the buttons do not work when OFF. So far I've had mine for at least 6 months and love it. This unit is universal in the fact that it has dip switches on the back that allow you to select the correct channel/ frequency to operate the fan unit. I would buy again.

Great Price Easy to install
Item works exactly as described and is a must for anyone out there that has a ceiling fan with just one wall switch and still uses the pull chains like a savage to control the fan speeds and lights.

Ugly logo not pictured
I ordered the Litex WCI-100 on the basis of the positive reviews and the good price. When it arrived, there was a big, ugly Litex logo silk screened in black across the front of the switch. It was not depicted in the product description or pictures at the time of purchase. It was immediately returned.
