the good, the bad, and the ugly...This would've been a 5 star review, right up until I finished attaching the doors...The Good:Very easy to assembly (accept the doors...) It job should take between 30-40 minutesNice finishing touches that you'd expect from Closetmaid (like covers for the exposed fasteners and a good bracket to secure the unit to the wall)The Bad & the Ugly:The doors leave a 3/4 of an inch gap down the middle. I thought I put the thing together wrong it looked so bad!I corrected their bad design by putting two thin washers between the hinge and the side and replacing their screws with some slightly longer ones. I was really annoyed that a 30 min job turned into a couple hours of realizing I didn't mess the thing up, working out a solution, and rooting around for the right parts.When assembling the doors, it was hard to support and screw them in a the same time. I used a couple of boxes to prop the door up while I screwed in the hinges.
it works
this cabinet is sturdy and easy to assemble. but my main complaint is that there is about a 3/4 inch gap between the two doors which sorta defeats my purpose of having a clean linen closet as bugs could easily fly/crawl in the gap.
Pretty happy
Overall it seems like a pretty good budget pantry. Took about an hour to assemble but it's real sturdy with lots of room. No complaints, was exactly what I was looking for.

Good valueIf you need additional no-frills storage for a reasonable price, this is the right cabinet. Roomy with plenty of shelves. Assembly was time consuming (over an hour) but straightforward. Aligning doors takes a while if you are not familiar with adjusting hinges. Material is melamine laminated particle board with cardboard back panel. Prefab design, pre-punched hole locations, etc. make for very good fit and finish. We're happy with it.
Not worth the money
It took a long time to put together, which would be fine if the end product was what was pictured. We couldn't get the doors to meet not matter how much adjusting we did with the hinges. It's a silly looking cabinet in our kitchen with a pretty noticeable gap running down the center. I like the size of the cabinet so it meets my storage needs, but if it wasn't so hard to return, I don't think I would've kept it.

hinge problem + measurementsThis piece is made from nice material, but, like another reviewer, there seems to be a problem with the hinges on one side such that those doors won't stay closed. I think we will be able to solve that, but it's too bad that we need to.Also, be advised, the measurements given above are what you might call the piece's "footprint." The "16 inch" depth is only if you measure the base or top, and that's where the "30 inch" width comes from too. Useable interior shelf space is 12 inches by 25 inches.
Made well and a great addition to the kitchen!!!
We bought this pantry not knowing exactly how it would be made.. but we were very very pleased with it!!! It was easy to assemble and the parts are all made of sturdy oak wood. We highly recommend this item!!!!!
Nice looks, but poor quality control
I bought this to use as a kitchen pantry and it will be good for that eventually, hopefully. The piece looks nice and was easy enough to put together with 2 people. However, the 2 left doors will not stay closed nor will they close at all. We ordered replacement hinges and that just made the situation worse. I contacted customer service a second time and I will just have to wait and see what they suggest. $500 is too much to spend to cause this headache.

So beautifulThe item looked great in the picture and was the perfect size for my kitchen but if I had seen it in real life I would not have bought it. The quality is pretty cheap and the instructions were VERY confusing. The intructions and materials are even worse than what is expected from IKEA. You have to be very careful when drilling the brackets into the doors because if you are the least bit off center your entire pantry will look like crap and not close right or look broken. It took a lot of muscle to make the pantry better because the brackets aren't centered for you. If you don't mind something that is cheap quality and annoying to put together this pantry isn't all that bad. It fits a lot in it and is a nice size.

DisappointedI bought this item as a storage space for food, because my kitchen was terribly small. The cabinet is set up on a pedastal which takes up a lot of valuable space (when considering the dimensions). The description gives a height and width that are deceiving because the pedastal is wider than the cabinet, and gives the cabinet height without the benefit of using that as storage.The directions for assembly are terribly lacking, there is vague pictures, but no written instructions just pictures with arrows. If you aren't good with assembly do NOT attempt this piece, there are LOTS of little pieces. And I recommend getting a bottle of wood glue and for sturdier finished piece, glue the pegs into wood pieces. Also two of my pieces were missing holes, I checked multiple times thinking surely I was wrong, but there were ten pieces all labeled as the same piece, and two of those ten pieces had 2 less holes. If you are handy with a drill that is not a problem. I don't have one, so...
Incomplete
I was very excited when I purchased this item as I have been looking for an affordable food pantry for quite some time and I wanted real wood. The quality of the materials is very good, however, it is an absolute bear to put together and not every hole matches up. In one spot the holes were too deep and the little studs that went in them went all the way in...that wasn't suppose to happen. I couldn't use that one shelf at all. The diagrams are incorrect for some of the pieces and there is no written instruction....just the diagrams. We were finally nearing the end of the assembly, when we discovered a piece was missing...very, very frustrating as we have already worked on this for a while. I sent an email to the seller and was answered very promptly and told me that a request had been sent to the company to send the missing part. I do not know the outcome yet as it has only been a couple of days but I will surely return with an update on how things worked out.
Don't waste your money or your time
I have put a lot of RTA furniture together in my time, but this was the worst. This pantry had a lot of pieces, the instructions were not clear, and now that it's put together it is not sturdy at all. I doubt it will last very long even with minimal use. Complete waste of money, and even more of a waste of time since it took hours for two of us to put it together. What I learned from this experience? I will never buy RTA furniture again. Don't bother with this piece- the price is cheap but so is the workmanship.
