Good for low ceilings
I love Hunter Fans! This one was a replacement for an older model that was damaged by a contractor. This fan is easy to install, whisper quiet, and looks great. I installed this fan on my screened porch, and it has been providing us with quiet cool all summer long. One thing to note - since it is made for outdoor installation, the fan has a visible white rubber gasket that sits between the ceiling and the fan's collar to keep water from getting down into the fan. If you don't like the way the gasket looks and your installation is not truly outside, you don't have to install the gasket. Overall, a great fan that mounts flush with the ceiling. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a flush-mount fan for outdoor installation. Well worth the money, so go ahead and take the plunge!
Perfect for the Porch
This is a nice looking, well made fan. I was concerned about buying this, or any other fan, because I have a sloped ceiling (only 1.5" in 12") and I couldn't tell from specs whether this would mount with the short down-rod (supplied) properly on a pitched ceiling. I wanted to use the short downrod due to limited ceiling height. No problem - the fan mounted fine with the short rod. It is quiet & moves air well - I am using in a 3 season porch 12x20.

Full-featured Timer
The Honeywell RPLS740B has some key features I was looking for:1. Compatible with compact fluorescent bulbs (this timer even works with electric motors).2. Has the option of turning on or off at either a certain time or at dawn or dusk. It keeps track of the time of year so that it knows when dawn and dusk are.3. Adjusts for daylight saving time automatically (although it may eventually be a few days off if they change the dates for daylight saving time again).4. Keeps its programming and the correct time and date during power outages.5. Has no batteries to wear out (more about this below). These features let me set it up once and then leave it alone. Of course, it's easy to override it if needed. Just press the main button to turn the lights on or off. The timer will stay programmed and resume automatic operation when it is time to turn on or off automatically again. Some of the literature on this...
Beats light sensors hands down
This switch is the Honeywell-labeled replacement for the Aube TI071/U. (Aube, a Canadian corporation, was purchased by Honeywell.) I own the Aube-by-Honeywell-labelled switch. This is an easy install for a homeowner who is comfortable enough with electrical work to know why the wiring comes in different colors, and can identify which side of a circuit is "line" and which side is "load." Also, you must have a neutral (white) wire in the box where you are installing this, or the switch won't work. The switch benefits from Aube's years of experience in designing programmable thermostats that are easy to use. The initial setup involves determining your local latitude and longitude, which can be determined from Aube's web site or from using Google Maps. (You only need the degrees [such as 45° N or 75°W], not the minutes or seconds, nor any decimals following the degrees.) The date, time, and location are entered, and your preferences regarding when you want to see the...
Quite good, but not perfect
I ordered this when Amazon offered it for a special discounted price. I believe that the normal price of $45 is too high for the functionality that this offers. Like a lot of people, I would like an easy way to have my outdoor lights come on and off automatically. Normally the problem with timers is that the lights get turned on too early or too late at different times of year due to longer and shorter days, daylight savings time, etc. This switch does solve that problem, allowing the user to have the lights come on and shut off at times related to sunset and sunrise. I programmed them to come on at 10 minutes after sundown and shut off at 11:30PM. The nice thing is I no longer have to remember to turn the lights on or off. You can also turn them on and off manually, which is good. There is a chart included with latitudes and longitudes of different US and Canadian cities, you can also quickly look your specific coordinates up on the internet. The screen...

Good fan, as expected for replacement, some notes
The fan arrived safe and quickly in the original factory box. This is a replacement for another fan in the same location, same mount.Quiet fan in final installation (see below).Works as expected cooling attic (too early to comment on life).Normal/easy mount.Excellent price.Application specific comments:MOUNT: I did have to get into the attic and access the fan twice. The first thermostat setting did not turn on the fan by 11AM here in FL (should go on by ~9AM on a sunny day). So while I was up in the attic resetting the Tstat, I took the time to redo the mounts. I used a home made isolating rubber type spacer between the mounting ears and the wall. This significantly reduced the noise transmitted from the fan to the house. Now all I hear is the actual sound of the fan blades with little or no vibration resonating in the house or wall.TSTAT SETTING: This fan has the thermostat permanently mounted inside the fan shroud. The other...
Excellent attic fan
I purchased and had an electrician install two of these fans as replacements. Installation was fast with no problems. The fans have been quietly spinning their little electric hearts out in this hot weather, coming on and going off according to the setting on the built-in thermostat. I highly recommend them.

Unit comes complete, ready for installation. Instructions are good.Unit is not as powerful as I would like but is what I ordered. I would buy again but with a higher hp motor.

eh. it works.... but do yourself a favor and spend a bit more $
as a result of doing major home renovations for the last 6 months, i ended up spending quite a bit of time researching all the products and appliances i had to install... so hopefully this will save you some time and headache. i ultimately needed two bathroom fans with heaters for one medium sized full bathroom, and a small half bathroom in my DC rowhouse. and since the bathroom fans had to be installed inside my ceiling, i wanted to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that i didnt have to EVER dig back into my ceiling drywalls to repair or replace.well, after weeks of agonizing and reading review after review on site after site, i settled on a Panasonic FV-11VH2 WhisperWarm for the full bath, and am SOOOOO happy i did. it was definitely rated for a larger bathroom than mine, and is slightly more expensive than i wanted, but is SUPER quiet (both heat and fan), unintrusive, and does the jobs perfectly. just note that the heat isnt mindblowing, but does a great job if you live in an...
Last Broan product I will ever buy, quit after 2 months, now I know why!
I have owned this unit over a year but it has only been installed less than 2 months. The heater has already quit working. Of course it had a 1 year warranty. But, due to my own laziness, I didn't install it till 2 months ago. Well, that has come to haunt me as I only got 2 months use out of it and I cannot get any warranty help on it. I will note, that in 2 months the heat portion did not get used that much. It's just now starting to turn cool. Very dissapointed in this item. And of course I paid more than its selling for now. Considering buying another one since a whole unit is currently cheaper than the replacement parts. But how long will it last??? But I don't want to open up the ceiling again to change it out. What a mess this turned out to be. Not a happy customer of this item.Update -After talking to Broan's tech help, they told me to check the thermal fuse on the back of the heating element. Which I did, and it was blown. What amazes me...
Nice Fan
What can I say? It does the job, wasn't difficult to install. It's fairly quiet, and the heat works very well in our otherwise unheated bathroom!

Sims 2 Pet's Collection
I bought this collection to fill the expansion packs before Bon Voyage expansion pack. What I did not know was that Mansion stuff pack that came with this collection supersede Seasons expansion pack (My last expansion pack) and makes you use the Pet's Collection CD rather than using Seasons CD after the install. Despite the newer Securom being installed on my computer, I haven't had any problems with game and no computer malfunctions. The game however is designed to be run with Freetime expansion pack thus leaves a huge ? when it comes to some game aspects like the Aspiration Bar is now change to whatever Freetime has running and the game tells you to access the new Aspiration bar - install Freetime. This gives the game, you are playing a trial version so buy more of EA Game's products. Very annoying when you bought the game for PETS and not FREETIME.Pros about the product: The new items and I love the fact that there is more chemistry connections beyond the...
Sims 2 Pets
I remember playing with pets in the very first Sims games and I really loved it, so this was very worthwhile for me. I'm most partial to the idea that we can customize the pets and give them jobs. I love the collection because you're getting more for your money. The Family Fun stuff is okay. I don't see much of a difference. The Mansion and Garden pack is fantastic because I love building houses and creating different structures. :D
pets
i rated it 2 in the fun department because this expansion really aint an expansion, you get to buy, adopt or find a stray pet. it seems more like a stuff pack. its boring because you dont really do much except play with your pet. they have more varities for you to choose from but talking to the human sims is still better. i only bought it because i wanted the mansion and garden pack and didnt feel like paying 20 bucks for 1 pack when i can get all 3 for the same 20 bucks. i recommend it only if you want to have a complete collection of expansion and stuff packs or if you love pets. i havent had any bug problems with the game tho, so thats good.
