Very Quiet
We love this fan! Our second floor bedrooms are very hot in summer, but this fan helps enormously. The design is sleek and modern and the motor very quiet. A great buy!
I like this fan!
This fan is great! Looks exactly like it does in the picture. Works great; install instructions were easy to follow. Only con is that when you pull on the pullchains, you tilt the fan somewhat since the pull chains are on the side of the light kit housing. Everything else is great.
Nice Fan
We've had this fan for several month and have no problems at all. I like it because it is close to the ceiling and being white it does not stand out in the room. It's well balanced and quiet. It's not the highest quality fan in our house, but it is a good solid fan with no problems.

Easy install, not so silent operation, looks good, inexpensive
On a budget and gave this fan a try.Stuff not mentioned in description:The maple color on one side of the blades is a very light tone. The included pull chains could be longer than 3 inches. The ends of the pull chains are black in color and the chains look enough like brushed nickel I guess. The decorative piece that covers motor and mounting bracket is indeed a brushed nickel or good look alike. The metal pieces that hold the fan blades to the motor are painted to look like brushed nickel so be careful when bolting on the blades and use the cardboard cutouts that go between the blade and the bracket. The included screws for attaching the fan blades to the brackets are chrome, not brushed nickel finish like I would have thought.INSTALL:Easy to install if you are replacing an existing ceiling fan with this one!FEATURES:The motor on this fan is pretty small so don't expect to make a tornado in your room with this. It does a good job...
Built strong & cheap
I purchased this fan because I needed a fan for a small room 12 x18. The fan was easy to install.. i was concern about the lighting from the reviews I read.. Lighting was not a problem I pop in an energy saving bulb lights up the room very well.. The fan is built well I really don;t see any problems with it. Very satisfy.
Decent
Looks good but kinda noisy and the lighting is not very good ( only uses a 40 watt utility bulb). I ordered two ...the first one came right way ...had to canccel the second one as it has been over a month and haven't recieved and never got any follow up on when it would be delivered. SO slightly dissapointed.

Pretty decent
It's a pretty nice ceiling fan, one of the easier ones I've installed. But, this is another fan where they went with the candelabra-base bulbs, so I took off 1 star. You can see on the box where they swapped out "standard base" for "candelabra base", because the box is lighter there (almost like a sticker put over the original text, but it's actually printed). The image, here and on the box, show what appear to be standard base bulbs. At the time of this review, Amazon's product description does not include the type of bulb used, just that it's a max 60 watt.
Very Happy and Pleasantly Suprised!
This fan is wonderful. You will pay at least double in any local home store and the quality cannot be beat. If you are handy install it yourself, it went up in 30 minutes and is super quiet at night. The look of the fan is expensive and the nickel and black finish really provide a clean modern look to our bedroom. I went back and purchased another light fixture from HH, thanks!
Beautiful
I originally purchased two of these fans and loved them so much that I ordered a third. They were relatively easy to install and they are quiet. They look beautiful in the remodel that we did.

Nice fan. Light is a little motel-like.
Great fan. It is very quiet at the highest speed setting. The light, is a little motel like. This is due to the globe's glass color. The only way around this was to put only one light in the fixture. It still has a 70's feel to the light, but is bearable.
Nice Fan!!
This fan is nice however a little noisy. It has a humming sound which isn't too bad if you can get use to it. Goes well with my furnture!! Also the price was right!!1
Nice but...
Not bad for the price at all. Looks good however, when people were talking about the low light/motel lighting I guess I had not paid attention to it enough to know that it was due to the bulbs being mini 40 watt max....will be trying halogen as the other reviewer suggested.

Very quiet and run extremely smoothly
We bought three of these fans and had them installed. We hired an electrician to do the job and he was done in very quick time. They run very quietly and smoothly with no balancing necessary. We are very impressed. There are two different wood tones to choose from on each blade- the dark walnut as shown in the Amazon photo and a lighter ash color. The dark blade looks terrific with the dark bronze finish.Hunter makes a great sturdy reliable fan. One draw back is that it does not come with a remote so we can turn the fan off and on at the switch but if we want to change the speed we have to use the pull chain up on the fan.
Hunter has made me a fan
I will be honest I have always hated ceiling fans. It was usually the first thing I took down after moving into a new home but our current house needs some circulation in the upstairs bedrooms, so I started my quest for something attractive. Not an easy feat for this ceiling fan hater. My biggest issue with most ceiling fans are that they are unattractive, loud and they wobble. This fan is neither of those things. It is very quiet and stable. I like the coloring as it blends well and is unobtrusive. The housing is a rubbed bronze finish and the blades are reversible. You can either go with the medium oak color for some contrast or the black brown finish (as pictured). My bedroom furniture is black brown in color so I installed the fan as pictured. Installation was a bit of a chore but I think that is expected anytime you install a light fixture. This one does not come with a remote which was fine with me as I wanted a fan that would hardwire to the light switch that is already set up...
Super quiet, easy to install
I left this same review in the 52" Hunter Fan I bought. Just thought to leave it here as well since I bought both sizes.I used to buy ceiling fans from Home Depot or Lowe's and they promote their own brands. I was fed up with either HD or L brands because they force you to used special light bulb sizes only available in their store, and the CFL option is super expensive. This time I'm looking for fan without light but still will not buy HD or L brands. I did some research and found a lot of good reviews on Hunter fans. I bought 4 fans total this time and love them all. Can't believe how stable and quiet they are. Now I know what I'm missing out when I bought those cheap HD or L fans.

When wiring a ceiling fan the directions state to wire the black to the black and the black/white to the red?

Jul 10, 2010 by Elizabeth | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)

But I want to switch it and wire the red ceiling wire to the black fan wire and the black ceiling wire to the black/white fan wire so that the particular switches work the way I want them to. Is this ok, to switch them?

Black wire on the fan is for the fan motor, red wire in the fan is for the light, the white wire is the neutral wire.
So if you do want to switch the light off and on you have to tie red wire to the switch and the black wire can be tied to the

How to wire a ceiling fan(black, white, blue) to plug into a wall socket?

Aug 09, 2010 by rico | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)

Hi,

How would I wire a used/old ceiling fan(with black, white, blue wires) to a power cord(with two copper wires) that I cut-off from an old lamp. And then be able to plug the cord into a wall socket. and yes the cord does reach.

Contrary to popular belief, this can be done. Just not SAFELY with the materials that you mentioned. As it is a motor, it "shall" be grounded. Meaning that it needs to be grounded to be safely operated. So, you need a 3 conductor cord instead

The Black Keys stay true to their minimalist roots in show at he Maverik Center

31.12.69
For longtime fans, the Keys’ rise to near superstardom has been a double surprise — that it took so long and, paradoxically, that it happened at all. The Black Keys’ sparse “garage rock” (or, in their case, basement rock, as the band’s debut album, "The Big Come Up," was literally recorded in Carney’s Akron, Ohio, basement) never seemed suited for mass appeal. but then they slowly started expanding the sound, which helped to attract boatloads of new fans, while still retaining a gritty, genuine core. Once the Keys’ latest album, "El Camino," debuted in December at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, the evidence was clear: The Black Keys were huge.
