Glow well...but kinda dainty
My first reaction out of the box was how small they were. If you're going to buy these, I think you need to get out a measuring tape and do a reality check on how big these things actually are. I anticipated something bigger. That was not these. I've never seen a real life candle in this size. They look like a childs version of the real thing.
No mention of the cloying fake vanilla scent
If it weren't for the stench of fake vanilla, I would have loved these candles. There was no mention in the description or packaging that they are scented.
love the petite size, just charming
While I've seen other flameless candles in store, I never saw these very sweet, petite candles. Only downside they take a circular battery, not an AAAA or AAA. But really lovely size and realistic.

no hassle tealights
I bought these to use in mini plastic jack-o-lanterns we hung on a Halloween tree in our yard. They fit perfectly inside the containers and the tree looked so cool all Halloween night. They really do flicker and just looked awesome illuminating those little containers. I am going to use them in our Christmas luminaries, I like them so much.I am very pleased with no more worries about the candles burning down or the wind blowing them out.
Great value
OK, so some of the reviews panned this product because not all the lights worked. I ordered a set and, yes, some did not light at first try. BUT, it's a matter of making good contact with the battery - open the door to the battery compartment and fiddle with the contact points. With a minimum of fuss I got all 12 working. And, really, for the price it's a terrific deal! Buy the extra batteries and you'll be pleased for a long time!
Flameless rules for us moms!
I bought this set going on over 4 years ago now. I use them over and over again. I love them because I can have the look of the candles without worrying about my little daughter or the cat knocking them over or burning themselves. The batteries are easy enough to replace. Mine are still in working order and I am going to add another set of 12 to my existing set. I have acquired a few different kinds here and there at a cheaper price but the flicker isn't quite the same. These have a pretty good imitation of a real candle. You can't use them in clear containers but they work with everything else. I particularly like them in those holiday red and green or whatever etched votive holders. And the best part is when the holidays are over....no wax clean up. Just pop 'em out and put them away. There's also no scent. Some scents can trigger raging headaches and spoil a great evening for you or your guest so I think that's great. You can always find a way to add a mild scent to...

Nearly perfect!
I'm VERY into soft natural lighting, but I have cats, so I tend to buy a lot of little battery operated candles. These are probably the nicest I've seen for the price. I would buy more of these. The product info is a little light on details, so I'll tell you more about the ones I received. These do not have the tacky little flame shape built into the plastic on the top, they have a cute little black wick, and when not switched on look a lot classier in the decor than the cheap kind you usually see at drug stores. They're covered in real wax, so they look and feel nicer than most of this sort of product. They take a standard cr2032 battery, which you can get cheap in big numbers on eBay, so you don't have to worry about only using them occasionally. The batteries are easier to change than some candles of this type. Some of this sort of candle require you to use a jewelers screwdriver to open the battery compartment, but these just have a plastic tab, so they're super easy to...
Realistic and Safe!
Measuring in at just a tad shy of 1.5" wide and 1.75" tall, this little candle was exactly what I was looking for. My family is sensitive to any type of scent, and this realistic looking votive is truly scent free. I bought 2 sets of 6 from Amazon Warehouse and am very pleased with the price and quality. All arrived quickly and in working order. I will update later on the battery life of the CR2032 lithium batteries, it is too soon to tell. I highly recommend this product as a gift!
Flameless Votive Candles
These flameless votives are smaller than most battery operated votive candles that are found in stores. The diameter makes them a suitable substitute for use in wall scounces. The ivory wax coating gives off a nice flickering glow when turned on. Although they may seem a bit pricey, I was glad, after much searching,to find flameless votives in a 'true' votive size.

Great for Medieval Re-creation / Tent Camping
As a member of an international Medieval Re-creation / Re-enactment Society, candles are one of the main sources of "period" light we can use. However, they can become quite a danger inside a canvas tent or pavilion. These are an excellent replacement for "real" candles. They look, smell, and feel like real wax candles (because the are real wax), they flicker realistically when turned on, and best of all...they won't set your tent on fire if accidentally knocked over!We have purchased multiple sets of these flameless candles to use in our medieval re-enactment settings, and so far, nobody has believed they were flameless, battery-operated candles until we proved it.Very much highly recommended!
Cute, effective candles.
Cute little candles. Smaller than I expected (but I also paid no attention to the published dimensions). A little TOO drippy looking for me. I also bought the Gerson Company Everlasting Glow Flameless Wax Candles with Melted Edge Effect and like those better. Definitely have a realistic glow and give off a surprising amount of light. Bonus: my cat can't burn off his whiskers on them! :)
They are great!
Got them today and placed them in my little tin "luminarias". They are flickering happily away and look just like candles. They are doing exactly what I wanted them to. Going to order more when they are back in stock!

How can you make battery powered candles light up from a light switch?

Jul 30, 2007 by Singer_in_training | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)

Hi, I am redoing my room to be a harry potter theme and I am tring to switch my lighting. I was hoping to go for a floating candle type thing and hanging them from the ceiling with wire and they are supposed to be non flamable by battery power. The thing

that's not a good idea since batteries are very low voltage, nearly nonexistant, and a light switch on a normal house circuit is 110v. The wiring in the candles would overheat and cause a fire.
