Pet ClipperTerrible product. Even without the guards on, this clipper would not cut fur. It maybe cut an 1/8 of fur at a time and my dog has clean, unmatted hair. Don't waste your money.
A big waste of money.
I was very disappointed when I received my clipper set for my pups. I got them all washed and brushed out and dried. Then attempted to trim their hair. Guess what? Nothing happened. No fuzz shaved off, no hair was cut. I thought maybe it was their hair being soft like cotton so I attempted to shave my arm and again nothing. I contacted this seller and of course they were polite about the product but in no way offered an exchange or a refund. They left it my hands to contact the manufacturer. Did not need this hassle so would like to tell you before you buy this product, don't waste your money.
Junk don't waste your money
I purched this trimmer to do my dogs to try to say money at a groomer and i have some experience with grooming dogs. However this particular dog trimmer is a joke. it does not do a good job not even a half good job it does not cut the dogs hair don't waste your money i'm currently looking for a different one. this was a waste of my money i would like to return it for a full refund. and i will check into that today.

A holiday should be named after Mr. Wahl!This little powerhouse is unbelievable. I have had mine for 3 years. I finally wore them out...(just jumped on line to order another.) I also have the professional Oster Groom-master clippers but never use them, because the dogs do not like the noise. For 3 years, I have clipped through matted hair on a Labradoodle and Schnauzer. The pups actually come over to me when they see the clippers come out. They view it as some kind of spa treatment. The price is also unbelievable compared to other clippers and the company could not be more helpful in their customer service department... a puppy once ate one of the blade attachments and they sent another, no charge. Of course, Amazon has the best price, considering the free shipping. GO FOR IT!
Good price and does the job well
I purchased this clipper to replace one of another brand with which I was unhappy. The Wahl actually exceeds my expectations. The interchangeable combs allow you to get just the right length that you want. It is lightweight and I can trim two dogs (and probably more)on a single charge. My old clipper had the on-off switch in an awkward place where I kept accidentally turning it off. No problem like that with the Wahl. When shopping for a pet clipper, remember that some units are called "trimmers", which is just what they're for. They often won't clip a long haired dog. This model is both a clipper and trimmer. In addition, the kit comes with a DVD which explains some of the basics of grooming for the novice. I would recommend this clipper to any dog owner who wants to do their own grooming without investing in an expensive professional unit.
I was thrilled
I have 3 St Bernards. One with long hair. It is so expensive to have her groomed. I love this clipper. It shaved her private area quickly and took on her long thick fur no problem. Worth the price.

A very good set of clippersI don't review many product that I purchase but I have more than a passing familiarity with the regular use of electric clippers even though I'm not a professional barber. I started cutting my own hair about ten years ago when I was assigned to recruiting duty in a city where the barbers were unionized. Getting a haircut every seven days at twice the price of the barbershop on base was more that I could afford.I started out using discount store clippers and learned quickly that most were not capable of cutting thick hair or at least not cutting it quickly. The blades for some consumer grade clippers were just terrible and made of stamped metal that warped over time and pulled hair rather than cutting it.For the past several years I have used Wahl Powerdrive clippers which are consumer grade but significantly better than any others I had tried and lasted for several years. Good clipper, here's some missing info
This clipper is a vast improvement over my old, noisy Wahl. But with all the talk about the included combs (which are also a vast improvement over the Wahl's), nowhere does Amazon or any reviewer mention which specific combs are included--only that there are four of them. So here you go, straight from the side of the box:- 1/2"- 1/4"- 3/8"- BlendingMy work here is done.
Great Clippers
After going from cheapo to cheapo for too long, finally broke down and got a good pair of clippers. Did the research, went with these fast feeds, and boy do I love 'em. Me and a buddy cut eachother's hair at school and these baby's will be paid for in about 3 or 4 cuts. They're not magnetic so you don't get hairs clinging like crazy, and they power through both of our thick heads o hair. And they just have a nice feel, a heftiness, to them when you pick them up.The only thing I would recommend is getting a good attachment set, there is a nice one out there by Oster that has metal spring-loaded clips so they actually stay attached, comes with a bag, real nice. Just get some extra oil, a stiff brush, and maybe some disinfectant at a barber supply store (or online I suppose) and you're set.

Pretty Good, maybe not perfect for fine hairI purchased this with 2 reasons in mind, animal clippers and hair trimmer. Yes I wanted to be able to use this for my husbands haircuts. It does his hair very well. My daughter used it on her cat, she has a long haired cat that needed shaving down for the summer as she gets stickers in her hair and the hair mats up, she reports that it did not go so smooth on the fine haired cat and that cutting the hair balls off of the cat was a chore and that she nicked the cat with them. Now I know your thinking yes but that would be a hard job. Not really true, because before I bought this trimmer I had another that did great, it mowed threw the hair like butter. Now I don't know, this is her experience so I can't tell you for sure she wasn't doing something wrong. It is quiet, and powerful though and I like it just fine.

After being dissatisfied with paying groomers for my Bichon/Cocker Spaniel mix and not thinking it was worth the money. I purchased this clipper as it appeared to be of excellent quality. I was right. It will allow for 5 adjustments without purchasing attachments. I was a bit leary and tested it on my pet's stomach first. I was quite surprised to see a picture of a horse, cow & pig on the box. Oh my, did I make the wrong purchase?The unit did require an adjustment the first time I turned it on as it was very loud. Almost whisper silent then.The chrome parts got very hot to the touch after about 25 minutes of operation.The cord is a three prong heavy duty cord (grounded)Does the job intended for.

Great with fast feed or any clippersI was very worried about these combs because of some reviews I've read about them not fitting the Oster Fast feed clipper, which I had purchased. The combs fit great, I assume the people who had problems couldn't figure out the mechanism - it's a spring-loaded clip and the springs can be a bit stiff at first. Just put the metal tabs on the back of the blade and press forward, they fit like a dream, and from what I can tell, universal is right, this design should work with any clippers. Very high quality, worth what I thought of as a high price for clipper combs.
Are animal clippers any different than human clippers?
Hi. I have a few animals and out of the few, I get my dog clipped/groomed (lab,shepard, chow mix). I also have a cat, is it ok to clip a cat? I adopted my older cat and he has constant hair ball coughing fits. I tried special food and other tricks
yes they are the same. they only call them animal clippers at the pet stores and other places so they can charge you more.
