Excellent Clippers.
After having gone through 5+ clippers (most hand-me-down) over the past 9 years I finally purchased a set that perform professionally. These clippers are quiet; they do not scare my children; they do not pull hair. We LOVE these clippers. I cut all of the hair in my family of 6, and I am very happy with this purchase. I would recommend these to anyone. The kids loved watching the instructional DVD that comes along with it and I even learned a pointer or two. I appreciate that these come in a nice case for storage. Two thumbs up!!

Sure Bet
After reading other reviews about noise and the unit getting too hot, I was a bit apprehensive. To the naysayers I can only say, "hogwash!" This thing is a piece of cake to use, there is no noise, the unit doesn't heat up (at least during my haircut). It comes with an instructional video that was quite useful if for no other reason than confidence in doing our first haircut at home. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get a haircut, on a lazy Sunday afternoon in the comfort of my own home. My daughter gave me the haircut and it was every bit as professional as I get in the salon. Of course, I just shave the whole head with a 2 blade and I am good to go. For [...] bucks, you can't go wrong. Please note, you do need the clipper for the haircut and the trimmer around the edges.

Pays for itself.
The motors didn't work in either the clipper or trimmer in the first kit we received. After an exchange, we are thrilled so far. Both work great. Video was very helpful. One con - the combs cut a bit shorter than expected in comparison to the same numbered combs at the barber or salon.

Great Clipper
This clipper is simply the best I have encountered. I have been cutting my own hair for 15 years and I have become quite good at it. This unit is sharp and precise. It is very solid and durable, in fact the entire thing is metal and aluminum. The motor is unbelievably powerful and is about average noise production. You can really feel the quality of this product once you hold it in your hand. It is expensive but judging on the past few weeks I have owned it, it will last me a lifetime. True, you have to buy the comb attachments separately, but they too are good quality with metal latch, durable and accurate design. Only the lower quality clippers will come with the attachments for the average Suzy Housewife.

Was excited to receive, but very disappointed after first use
I have been looking for a good pair of clippers to do fades. I have been doing fades on my own head for the past 12 years and always used the cheopo wahls ones that you can buy at target, never had a problem with them. I decided I wanted to get a professional type clipper so I got these. I just used them an hour ago for the first time and here is what I have experienced, and this is MY PERSONAL OPINION so you can take it how you want to:1.) First, my biggest issue: The whole unit gets VERY VERY HOT, I mean to the point I cannot hold it anymore. And only after about 45 minutes do you start to notice that the heat is getting bad, the blades themselves took longer to get very very hot but I literally used a glove to finish my haircut today because I could not hold it. The unit is metal.2.) Its noisy but all clippers are noisy, this is not a problem for me but still an observation. Not a big deal3.) The clippers are very very difficult to keep a good grip on...

Good beard trimmer
I've used an Andis Master Clipper for beard trimming for a few years. The Master Clipper is bigger than this trimmer, but rather heavy. I decided to try this trimmer out to see if it was a bit less tiring. It is definitely more manageable. However, the teeth are rather smaller than the Master Clipper, so with curly beard hair it takes several passes to get everything clipped where the Master Clipper generally gets everything on the first pass. The combs for this clipper are much better for beard trimming than the Master Clipper combs though. If I had to recommend one or the other for beard trimming I think I'd go with this clipper.

Great So Far
I've only had this trimmer for a month but it has been great to use so far. I'm an amateur barber who hasn't been cutting hair for a long time but this trimmer does everything that I expected it to. Using it is a lot better than using my clippers to do linings, which is what I had been doing before I made this purchase. It is a great tool for making lines and curves when cutting hair.

Happy at $54
I paid more than $10 above the price now but I'm not complaining. It works like the clippers my barber used and I haven't had to use a razor for about a month now. Dry shave is better, imo ... a lot, at least for my skin.

The Best In Its Class!
I'm not a barber and have never had much success cutting my own hair because it would never look even, the clippers would "pull" my hair and everyone would ask me if I cut my hair this time. :( I had been using the Andis 'Easy Cut' model ($19.95) at the local beauty supply store. I decided to upgrade and began studying every possible option on Amazon. After an exhausting search, I decided on the Speedmaster II. I've been using these weekly for about 7 months now, enough time to give them a decent review for anyone considering this model.The Pros:-They Cut Even! Even on a lopsided head. (not mine of course...)-They don't "Pull" due to the 4X power. No mo snags on the tea bags!-The ceramic blades cut as good or better than steel blades but the don't get hot at all.-They come with 9 attachments to cut all lengths of hair from Kojak to Ronald McDonald (whatever happened to him anyway?...)-They look Beautiful! They look better than all...

High reviews for a reason
I had an old Wahl clipping set that came with scissors, oil, comb, length attachments etc that finally died a couple months ago. It didn't suddenly die, it was making increasing amounts of noise due to a bad design where the screws holding the top blade would get oiled up and become loose from the vibration. Near the end of its life, it would get loose very quickly and I would tap it against my stone counter top and it would stop making noise for a minute; this process was repeated over and over. Eventually, however, the noise got so bad and came back so quickly that I got frustrated and smashed the clippers into several pieces. While this was gratifying in the moment, I was left in a lurch with half a haircut. My wife did her best to do the rest with scissors, but I looked like an idiot. Anyway, I researched a bit and came across several models by Andis, which were lauded for their high-quality construction. The recency of my debacle with the Wahl clippers made me steer away from...

A review on the quality of the cut only.
I cannot comment on the life of these clippers as I have just purchased my set not a week ago.I can, however, comment on the quality of the cut. I have extremely sensitive skin and have had to endure the shadow look on my face for a few years as I have left the razor behind and moved to beard and mustache trimmers, but none of them have been able to get as close to a razor as the Andis T-Outliner has. I use it on my head and face and people have begun to doubt my sensitive skin excuse as the quality of the cut looks to be of razor quality. I also dont have to worry about the bumps that would normally appear when a cut is this close.I have already purchased another set of these as they were on sale as well as some machine oil. NEVER FORGET TO OIL YOUR CLIPPERS. The fate of my beard and mustache trimmers was grim because I didnt oil them as regularly as I should have. I am glad for it now, but imagine how much longer than 4yrs they would have lasted if I had...

Awesome...
I have owned these clippers for nearly a year. They cut just as precisely now as they did when I bought them new. The wide blade is very nice and requires less strokes. I use these clippers about once a week to clean up my fade/blowout. They cut really thin, as thin as the barbers, only they will not cut razor thin. I have yet to see anything that does cut razor thin besides a razor. These clippers are the closest you can get to a barber chair for your home. I am so sold on the quality of this brand/line that I just purchased the "Improved Master Clippers" to accompany my "T-Outliner". It set me back a hundred bucks but if it is at all like the T-outliner than I will be extremely happy. You get what you pay for and oh yes, don't forget to keep them oiled!
