Not Quite "All In One", but What It Does Well, It Does Very WellPowerful, but Wahl needs to work on keeping it simple
Bad quality.
First off... People, be aware of "Vine Program" reviewers. Keep in mind that these people did not pay for the item and did not actively go out and search for the product they now own. I, on the other hand, was actually looking for this here electric "clipper". One PRO: 1- At first I was glad to see that WAHL had finally designed a shaver with a lithium battery because the nickel-cadium battiers in their other units die out way too fast. As it turns out, the battery was the only positive thing about this trimmer. I only needed to charge it fully once and it would last for approx 6 shaves. Many CONS: 1- Rubber material covering body of unit grips TOO much. Little pieces of cut hairs will stick to it like glue! Within a week it mine was covered in little hairs. Messy. 2- The metal blades rust easily even though they were never exposed to water, only to sweat. I have never had this problem with other Wahl trimmers before. 3-...

Fantastic balding clipperI have read a lot of reviews for this product, and I am not convinced the people posting reviews have all used these clippers. I have been cutting hair for 20 years, and this is the first set of balding clippers I have ever purchased (never really had a need). First and foremost,these clippers are very sharp, and if you are not careful, you will put deep gashes in your skin! If you have bumps or moles on your scalp, these clippers will surely slice right through them. That being the case, of course, these clippers also cut hair very well, as they should. Wahl makes excellent, long lasting clippers. As I said, I have been cutting hair for 20 years and these clippers really aren't for amateurs or do-it-yourself head shaving. If you're using them to cut your hair, or the hair of someone else, take your time, keep the top, flat portion of the blades flush with the person's scalp (to minimize cuts), and be very careful around the ears. Great clipper - needs improvement thoI bought this for a bit more at Walmart becuase I needed it asap. My hair grows back at an incredible rate and if I don't trim it within 2-3 weeks, it looks BAD. This model featured a Powerdrive system that's supposedly more powerful at cutting thick hair more smoothly. It also sports this special detail trimmer that pops out and attaches to the trimmer blade like a silencer for a rifle. The only difference is that it makes 3 times more noise than the regular trimmer. It was so loud I couldn't stand it buzzing next to my ear. I tried oiling it to no avail, it's just very noisy and vibrates a lot. The regular trimmer is just like the old Wahl I had. In fact this trimmer looks and feels JUST like the old Wahl I had from the mid 90s. I didn't feel any difference in how smoothly it cut - it just got really hot really quickly. But it's new and it has a 5 year warranty. It would pay for itself in the 3rd or 4th haircut at home...
Great product, but don't count on the flipover trimmer part.
This is the very first trimmer I ever used. I was tired of waiting in line and paying what I can do at home in 15 minutes. The trimmer is fairly easy to use and requires minimal maintenance. (I just brushed the hair off after each use.) It would deserve a full 5-star if the latch of flip-over fine trimmer didn't break the first time I used it. The fine trimmer still works with my thumb pressing to hold it in place. Since then, I have given and received haircuts 20+ times using it (that's what starving graduate students do other than subsisting on Ramen noodles.) When I save enough money, I think I will simply get a beard trimmer to do the fine touches. After all, one can't expect a $20 tool to do everything.
Does the Job Well
I got this with some trepidation. My wife has no experience cutting hair and, even though I prefer a very simple cut, I had my doubts. This cutter was so easy to use, however, that I need not have feared. The instructions were simple and clear and the clippers work well. They were inexpensive and it seems that after two more cuts, these things will pay for themselves.

Low Cost and Effective!I am a lifetime beard grower, and have had many different trimmers, and I happen to by a Wahl one day, and its outlasted all my other big name trimmers, and i totally mistreated it and abused it, and it still trims like a dream. So I decided when i was looking to update my trimming kit to look at some Wahl Timmers, and i was not dissapointed, its plastic and feels lite but it does the job, and it does it the first time. It comes with everything i needed, and the cradle held everything pretty well. The instructions included are very useful as well. I would recommend this if your looking for a budget trimmer, I bought a wahl as a back up, cheap trimmer, and its become my primary trimmer. ++This is not a shaver, i think people are confusing this for a different job, This is made to trim, maintain, and sculpt a beard or mustache. If you try to shave it will pull your hair or not cut well++
low battery life
As far as the quality of the trimmer, you get what you pay for. I had a wahl trimmer for about 10 years that was plastic, but it was great. This one is cheap plastic that feels like its going to fall apart. The main drawback is that is sucks that battery life up fast. The first batteries i put in were cheap, so i upgraded to quality batteries with little difference. I use it every other day and i say batteries will last maybe a month if you dont mind the pulling when the batteries get worn down.
Cheap but effective
This product is cheaply made with low grade plastic, but it works and it's priced right.

Wahl Makes Best TrimmersI have been using a Wahl beard trimmer for nearly 6 years. It finally started to show its age and I went looking for a new one. I tried Remington brand, and they just did not work for me. I have very thick, stubborn hair and the Remmington's blades did not get close enough to my skin to get the hairs I wanted. So I went back to what I knew worked, and re-ordered a new Wahl Beard Trimmer. This one is very similar to my old one, except a few new things. There are more blade guards than before, and the clipper setting now has 6 stages instead of 5. Otherwise, the trimmer is the same. And that is a good thing. Immediately, the new Wahl made a difference and I am very happy with the results. The reason why Wahl is so much better than anything else (including the Remington) is that the blades that move back and forth as so much closer the to the guard teeth that you can see the difference. Go to a store and look...you can see the difference between this trimmer and other...
Great product, great price
Pros: Price. Charges quickly, and stays charged afterward for some time. Gives a great trim, nice and neat and no pulling. Has all the attachments you'll ever need. Easy to maintain and clean up. Cons: Attachment system could be a little better, a little tough to get on and off without some practice. They do work great and are easy to use once on, however. Bottom line: Great trimmer for a great price, you can't go wrong here. Can use it with the cord or without and works great either way, this thing will last you forever. I'm really happy I picked this one up out of the crowd of trimmers I looked at.
AWESOME BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
For the cheap cost of this trimmer, you can't go wrong! I love it, the battery lasts long, it comes with tons of clips and the one adjustable 5 setting clip and it's a very nice package for it's price. Very comfy and a nice grip, I look forward to trimming now that I have this wonderful trimmer in my life. I really don't think you can go wrong with this purchase! P.S. I buy a lot of stuff at amazon.com and I NEVER review it, I suppose it's cause I think it's "too out of the way" to do, but I love this product so much that it was time to change that!
