I love this refrigerator. Only a few small flaws but I would recommend it.I love this refrigerator. I have owned it for a year and a half (with no problems). Below is my opinion based on each feature:1. French Doors. I love them. THe left door has a flap that sort of flattens out as you close the door to seal against the right door. Because of the little flap, the right crisper drawer does not pull all the way out if the left door is closed. Alternatively, you CAN keep the right door closed and pull the left crisper drawer all the way out. Anyhow I usually end up opening both doors when i go to the fridge, so it will take 2 hands, but i still love the french door look.2. Inside water dispenser. Love that too. THe only bad design is the button to get the water is a few inches above the actual dispenser. it is difficult for me to get a glass of water with one hand; i usually hold the glass with one hand and press the button with the other. But i do like this design much better than the 'outside of the door' water dispenser; i think...
Absolute disaster.
Owned for six months. Worked great until starting running very hot. Stopped working all together. Under warranty, obviously, and replacement parts ordered. The replacement parts they sent me were themselves defective and had to replace the replacement parts. Long story short, Thanksgiving canceled and without a fridge for a month. Maytag, which after doing some research online, has suffered dramatically over the years in terms of quality and simply does not deserve its relatively decent reputation they still enjoy. This brand is garbage.

NO NEED TO CHANGE FILTER YEARLY FOR MOST USERSThis filter is rated at 750 gallons capacity. If the consumer uses one gallon of water per day in the form of water from the refrigerator dispenser and ice from the ice dispenser, the filter will last 750 days; i.e., just over TWO years. In general, there is no reason to replace the filter yearly, unless you have a really yuccky water source.In a small household of two adults, the filter should last considerably longer than two years. Furthermore, with the addition of a filtered water dispenser at the sink (such as a GE undercounter unit), the refrigerator filter would be functional for a few years. The undercounter units have a quite large capacity and some use two filter cartridges.
Easy install, great performance.
This filter was a snap to install, and once I did my water pressure from the dispenser was back to normal. If you'vegot a refrigerator that uses one of these filters and the water's been coming out slow then it's probably time for a new filter. One word of advice: use a big water pitcher for the first use of the dispenser after the filter change - the pressure has to readjust and it will spit out a few huge blasts of water that will overwhelm your normal water glass. After the couple of big blasts though, you get constant good pressure, better than you remembered was even possible after the gradual slow down with your old filter.

Great value. Good mix of feature / reliability.We got this on sale at Best Buy at $1,198 including home delivery. I would say even at $1398, we might still get it.If you are looking for an inexpensive french door fridge, this is the ticket. Although it's the cheapest among the french door units out there, this fridge does not skimp on functionalities.PROS:- GREAT LOOKING - the stainless steel is beautiful. Fit and finish is superb. Better than a high end GE Profile one we had in our old house.- Spacious - both top and bottom section have lots of room- The French Door provide very wide and open access to the fridge section- The Top Drawer in the Bottom Freezer has wheels/gears on it which makes it easier & smoother to roll in and out. Some older Maytag/Whirlpool/Kitchenaid models do not have this and are much harder to open/close. Those older units are simply just rails on slots. My in-laws has a higher end Kitchenaid and their top drawer in the bottom freeze are really difficult to...

Although the refrigerator performance is acceptable but the SHODDY cheap materials of the interior will probably disintegrate within a few years, regardless of careful care. Maytag's response is whoops....sorry,...it's out of warranty with no replacement parts available. Stay away.
Looking to sell
We have had this refrigerator for over a year and I'm tired of hearing my wife complain about the ice dispenser. Like the other reiewer the ice cubes are small and some always wind up on the floor. Now I'm finding water under the slide out shelves in the freezer. Can't figure out where the water is coming from. PLEASE buy something else....

your problem is the main control board. replace it follow the programing instructions the code it refers to is on the mod # tag most likely 0302 this will solve your problem
